My son, James (Jim) L. Hagemann, contracted ALS and was diagnosed after almost two years of tests and treatments. Jim was told he had two to five years to live. He lived four and a half.
Jim's family, employer and the Hines Veterans hospital supported him every way they could. The Walk to Defeat ALS is an annual event this year at Cantigny Park - Wheaton.
There is also a fundraiser. I'm walking - for those who can't and my personal fundraising goal is $250 and hope you'll help me reach it. By making a one-time, tax-deductible donation, you can make a difference in the fight against ALS. With your support, we can make a difference in the lives of those living with Lou Gehrig's Disease.
My personal URL - Chicago Walk to Defeat ALS is: http://webchicago.alsa.org/goto/larryhagemann
