Vice Commodore's Corner: August 2020

Happy August members!

I hope everyone has had a great summer so far this year. I'm sure it's been challenging for all of you. At last month’s meeting, Keith Church from North Sails provided the NWSA with some valuable insight into furlers and answered many questions from our members. If you missed the general meeting, you can still watch it with the link to the recording that was sent out to all members.

Gwen and I were able to get away last month for a week sailing adventure, and made it as far as Manitowoc, WI. We now have a new member in our family – see below. It is a 39’ O’Day, and we are looking forward to sailing her for years to come. That said, if anyone is in the market to buy a 30’ Hunter, we have one for sale now! See the "Boats for Sale" section in this month's communique.

I am looking forward to seeing all of you at the Zoom meeting on August 17th at 7pm and looking forward to the upcoming August NWSA sails.

Thank you for all of your understanding during these trying times, and I am looking forward to when we can socialize again.

-Wayne Smith, 2020 Vice Commodore
