Commodore's Corner: October 2020

The leaves are changing color and fall is here. I hope everyone had as good of a summer as possible. We had 8 sails this year. A few more were planned, but a stormy September kept us from a few more.

Our sailing seasons are usually much more active, but with a very late start, lockdowns and everyone being very careful, we made the best of what we had.

This month’s meeting will kick off our photo contest. Wayne will take us through the entries and how to vote for the best pictures of this season.

Since we will not be having our usual banquet this year, we are going to have a short “Awards” meeting in November. It will be held on our “usual” 3rd Monday of the month (November 16). Please join us at 7pm on Zoom.

We will announce our photo contest winners and also present our most active captain awards for 2020. We will also have a vote for our 2021 board. There is still one unfilled position that needs a candidate - our Purser (Treasurer for you land-blubbers). If you would like to balance our check book for us, please let Irene Jarmulska, our Member-at-Large know that you would like to help.

Hopefully your boat is all set and snug and ready for the winter ahead. Let’s all remember that next year will be much better!
